Look closely at Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) to determine which ICs participate and the specifics of eligibility.

The Application Type is a single digit that depicts whether it is a new award, a renewal, a non-competing continuation, etc., followed by the Activity Code, the funding Institute Code (IC), the specific serial/grant number, support year, and any relevant suffixes.
